The USSF-D course is a 36-hour course (usually over the course of a week or a few weekends) and is the highest achieved license that the state offers. It is to prepare coaches for working with and developing players ages 12 and up. The focus for the course is broken down by classroom teachings (Methods of Coaching, Team Management & Administration, Tactics I, Tactics II, Match Analysis, Laws of the Game, and Care and Prevention of Injuries) and on field teachings (Coaching Small Sided games, dribbling, passing, receiving and turning, heading and crossing, finishing, fitness with the ball, goalkeeping, possession, defending and attacking).
